The Nikon D80s 10.2-megapixel sensor and advanced image processed engine are
only part of the story of this new entry. Low cost is another remarkable part.
The model boasts 3D color matrix metering, 11 area AF, auto ISO, a larger brighter
viewfinder, in camera retouching, built in wireless flash control, SD card storage
and a higher capacity battery.
With virtually instant 0.18 sec start-up, shutter lag just 80 milliseconds,
the D80 shoots at up to 3 fps in 100 frame burst. Battery shoots up to 2,700
JPEG frames per charge. ISO 100-1600 in steps of 1/3 EV. Shutter speed 1/4,000
to 30 sec. In-camera editing feature with auto light balance, red-eye correction,
overlay ability, etc. Wireless lighting system built in. Built-in slide show
options.

- Precision advanced Auto White Balance (AWB) produces natural coloration
by matching white balance to the light source.
The D80 also offers a variety of built-in slideshow options, including
styles selections such as a Pictmotion option that controls transitions and
