A professional 12.1 megapixels full frame FX format, (35mm=35mm) camera that takes features from the D300 and the top-of-the line D3 to give professionals both high quality and small body size. It boasts an excellent 12.1 mp CMOS sensor, an FX format (35mm=35mm), up to 6400 ISO speed, low noise, 5 fps shooting, a 3" 920,000-dot display, a virtual horizon in Live View and a DX mode indication on. Like the lower end cameras, the D700 also has a built-in flash.

The new model has more flexible 'hard button' programming, virtual horizon in Live View and a different DX mode indication on the focusing screen, and like the lower end cameras, it includes a built-in flash.
