This new generation follow-up to the award-winning Capture NX software focuses on photo editing and allows the photographer to use it as a standalone photo editor or integrate it into their existing workflow. Featuring patented U Point technology from NIK software, Capture NX2 includes Color Control Points, and the all-new Selection Control Point tool and all-new Auto Retouch Brush along with a completely redesigned interface. This software works equally well with JPEG or TIF files from almost any camera as well as with NIkon RAW (NEF) files.
The NX2 also adds "Workspaces" to support two monitors, offers four toolbar arrangements, improves its ability to create unique layouts (even across two or more displays), has an improved browser that provides access to labels, ratings, primary and secondary sort and filter options and the ability to display NEFs, JPEGs or both, and provides a new "Favorite Folder" option for getting to folders more easily. Capture NX2 is compatible with Windows XP (service pack 2) Windows Vista and Mac OS 10.4.11 and 10.5.2 (Leopard).
